 Sky City is located to the district Vnukovo, 30 km from Moscow city centre and in the direct
neighborhood of the Moscow Vnukovo Airport, the airport railway station, highways and
access to the Moscow MKAD ring road. The site is dominated by a hill, sloping northwards
down to a lake. The height difference between the hill top and the shore of the lake is approx.
20 meters. The urban concept refers to the topography of the site. On the top of the hill, a
square forms the centre of the area. Green corridors designed as parks with promenades are
running from the square down to the greenery at the water. Two circular roads connected with
two outer radial streets allow accessibility to all parts of Sky City as well as a simple
orientation. |
A hotel and several office buildings with retail, restaurant and leisure service functions in the
ground floors will be located around of the central square. Closed to the water, residential
buildings and publicly functions will be located. A car centre is planned in the western part of
the area.
